Job Description

Salary: $101,500 - 169,100 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in software development and architecture
  • Strong automation expertise, including testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Proficient in Terraform and Amazon AWS technologies, particularly ECS and Lambda
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like New Relic, Splunk, and PagerDuty
  • Experience in agile development, continuous integration, and automated testing
  • Solid problem-solving skills and strong written communication abilities
  • Understanding of SLOs, error budgets, and best practices in site reliability engineering
Responsibilities:
  • Solve complex problems with technically feasible solutions
  • Design and author software tools that ensure reliable application delivery and performance
  • Establish and maintain application monitoring and alerting systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to apply best practices in software development
  • Enhance software release predictability and reliability as well as operational workflows
  • Minimize mean time to recovery (MTTR) through effective troubleshooting and automated recovery processes
  • Assist with infrastructure as code efforts and SRE activities such as improving monitoring and defining error budgets
  • Engage with a release train to streamline IaC and site reliability initiatives
