Epsilon C5I ( focused on software development and systems engineering for complex command, control, intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a Senior Technical Writer I with 6+ years' experience for work in San Diego, CA . Our engineering efforts provide the warfighter with tools support critical support to operational missions to improve targeting capabilities. Summary: Supports a variety of IT services, including network, and security. The position will entail analyzing user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to streamline and integrate security practices within the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.

Duties and Responsibilities
    \n
  • Provide technical writing support to the SIGINT Team.
  • \n
  • As directed, the Technical Writer II shall assist with documentation support.
  • \n
  • The Technical Writer II shall provide support to review and provide comments and content updates on material developed by the Government.
  • \n
  • This material shall include but is not limited to System Administrator Manual, System Installation Guide, Interactive Electronic Technical Manual, user guides, training procedures, and testing procedures.
  • \n
  • Resources provided to fill this requirement must maintain a TS/SCI clearance and have the necessary certification to be a privileged user in the lab and cloud environments.
  • \n
  • Other responsibilities include providing feedback on technical documentation, maintaining checklists, and providing critical subject matter expertise support during documentation reviews, product reviews, and program office working groups.

Required Qualifications:
    \n
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
  • \n
  • Six or more (6+) years of professional experience in a Technical Writing / Administrative support capacity.
  • \n
  • Candidate must have a TS/SCI clearance.
  • \n
  • Demonstrable experience in technical writing for military clients, to include adherence to style guides - experience with redlines, overall format management and version control.
  • \n
  • Extensive experience in the development, writing, formatting, editing, and proofreading of military technical documentation such as system administration manuals, maintenance procedures, standard operational procedures, and architectural overviews.
  • \n
  • Must have the necessary 8140 certification requirements to be a privileged user in the lab and cloud environments including but not limited to Security+ and an Environmental Certification.
  • \n
  • Recent relevant network experience in the design, integration, analysis, troubleshooting, documenting, programming and operation of computer equipment and networks.
  • \n
  • Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor.
  • \n
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • \n
  • Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
  • \n
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • \n
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio).
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Technical Communication or Technical Writing
  • \n
  • Advanced experience in Technical Writing Concepts, document control, supporting NAVY Technical Programs
  • \n

Pay Range:

Target salary range: $135,000 - $170,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors such as business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
